Anzac Day is this weekend and most of you will be enjoying an extra day or two off. We’re expecting a flurry of activity in town as visitors come to experience the last of the warm days.

If you’re attending the memorial service on Anzac Day you can meet at the Byron Bay Services Club at 5.30am with breakfast served from 6-6.30am. Following is the main service at the Beach Hotel from 10am (in the Scout Hall if raining heavily).

A lot of people getting active in the shire over the coming weeks and there’s plenty on if you’re looking for some competitive and fun sporting events. This weekend the Byron Services Club Anzac Enduro race is on 24th April while the race will start at 7am. Byron Bay Triathlon is in early May and is suitable for both adults and children to get involved in.

For the adventurous and creative, better start building your billy cart now for the upcoming Bangalow races.

The Byron Bay Ocean Swim Classic is also just around the corner with two courses available – a 2.2km swim from Wategos to Main Beach or the shorter swim from Clarks Beach to Main Beach.
