05 Dec Shopping for art in Byron Bay
The holidays are swiftly approaching and it’s time to find that perfect gift for the special people in your life. Thankfully, here in Byron and the Far North Coast of New South Wales, we are spoiled for choice when it comes to shopping for unique gifts, art and craft items.
In fact, we even have a trail to follow, the Byron Arts Trail. Their new map will guide you to the many galleries and artists’ studios in the Byron Arts and Industry Estate. The holiday shopping season starts with a party and an Open Studio Evening on Friday the 6th December from 6pm. Come wander through the fabulous collections of fine art paintings, sculpture, jewellery, ceramics, fashion, fabric art, furniture and glass art.
You can pick up a new map of the Byron Arts Trail from the Byron Visitor’s Centre, Cosmosis Gallery, Byron Art Vault, Hammer and Hand, First Light Studio, Jules Hunt Gallery, Seed Art Collective, The Stonery, Wet Paint Art Gallery and Still @ the Centre.
If the Byron Artists Trail has just whet your appetite for shopping for art in Byron Bay you’ll want to visit the other galleries in the area, the summer artisans markets held from 4 to 9 pm on Saturdays in Railway Park and the monthly Sunday markets in Byron Bay, Bangalow, Lennox Heads, Mullumbimby, Brunswick Heads, Lismore, Nimbin, Uki and The Channon.
