Newrybar fireworks night is all set to light up the night sky on Saturday 3rd August 2024 with its annual fireworks and bonfire spectacular.
This popular fireworks and bonfire night takes place in the beautiful grounds of the Newrybar Public School. Tucked away in the hinterland close to Byron Bay, this small country school is located just outside the idyllic village of Newrybar. Established in 1890, it has long since earned a reputation for its family values and strong community ties.
Over the years, Newrybar fireworks night has become a much-loved winter tradition in our local area. Everyone looks forward to it because it’s a fantastic opportunity to venture out of the house and come together during the cooler months. After all, there’s nothing quite like rugging up on a winter’s evening and catching up with friends around the bonfire as fireworks light up the sky.
But it’s not all about the bonfire and fireworks! There’s also a jam-packed evening of family fun to look forward to. DJ Shorty, Byron Bay’s magical children’s entertainer, will keep the kids happy with lots of exciting games. Plus, there’ll be slides, an obstacle course, and fairground rides for the whole family to enjoy.
On top of all the excellent entertainment, there’ll also be a raffle with some great prizes kindly donated by local businesses. In addition, a vast range of delicious local food will be on offer. Choose from a wide selection of food trucks, and a variety of stalls selling homemade cakes and desserts, which you can wash down with a warming cup of barista-made organic coffee, chai, or hot chocolate.
This popular community event will start with Welcome to Country at around 4 pm, with the fireworks spectacular scheduled to take place at 7.00 pm. Tickets cost $5 per child, $10 per adult, or $20 for the whole family. As for parking, that won’t be a problem as there’s plenty available along Broken Head Road and the Hinterland Way.
So, why not head to the Newrybar Public School on Saturday 3rd August and join in the winter festivities. Not only will you have a wonderful evening, but you’ll also be doing your bit to help raise much-needed funds for this fantastic local school.
